"Compass" Pendant (Lapis Lazuli, Ruby, White Cambodian Zircon, 22k Gold)

This reversible "Compass" pendant design was inspired by spiritual traditions of the East and West. The front side is embellished with an 8-petal gold "lotus", one of the symbols of Buddhism's "8 Noble Truths". This matte-finish floral motif is set with a .5 carat naturally-mined faceted zircon encircled by four vibrant rubies signifying the four cardinal directions. On the reverse, the Hopi symbol for the Sun is set with a princess-cut .5 ct white zircon. The base stone is a vivid cobalt blue Afghani Lapis Lazuli gem, crafted into a donut shape, bezeled in 18k gold, suspended by a hinged clasp which opens to accommodate chains and cords up to 4.5mm in diameter.
