"Fancy Sparkler" Ring (Purple Spinel, 22k Gold)

One of our more casual, every-day designs, this "Fancy Sparkler" ring sports a vibrant round faceted 4.65 carat reddish purple spinel center stone in a 100% hand-fabricated matte 22k gold setting. The bezel-surround is meticulously decorated with fine granulation and the shank is embellished with a wire double-twist. Spinel is a rare gem akin to sapphire and ruby in hardness and brilliance, and is often found in ruby mines. In its red shades, it has been historically mistaken for ruby (as in the royal British "Black Prince's" crown), and measures at 9 on the Mohs gem hardness scale, making it a great choice for daily wear. This beauty is a size 6.5 (re-sizing not recommended). May be ordered in other gemstone shapes and colors. This style makes a beautiful wedding ring.
