"Lotus Talisman" Pendant (22k Gold, Oxidized Sterling Silver, Australian Opal)

Our "Lotus Talisman" design frames a 200 year-old Tibetan Buddhist "pilgrim’s token" silver coin in an 8-petal 22k gold lotus flower, accented with fine granulation detail. These talismans were awarded to novice monks who made the pilgrimage to the monastery to study (this one was found at an antique store in Singapore by the designer). The writing and glyphs on the coin represent the "8 Noble Truths" of Buddhism. The front of the pendant features a 1.8 carat vivid blue Australian opal which compliments the dark grey of the oxidized silver medallion. Size (including bail): 1.75" x 1.5". This is a rare coin and a bespoke piece; it cannot be reproduced or ordered, so you are guaranteed to have the only version like this!
