"Candi Shrine Buddha" (Chrysoprase, Carnelian Agate, Sapphire, Emerald, Pearl, 22k, silver)
A very fine quality 90.5 carat Australian chrysoprase stone was hand-carved by Balinese craftsmen to reflect the design of Goa Gaja, an ancient and powerful holy shrine in Ubud, Bali. The 11 Century Hindu-Buddhist cave was robbed of it's Buddha statue guardian long ago, but the designer created a miniature "replacement" with a 2.3 carat carnelian agate, hand-shaped in meticulous detail, seated in its golden niche. The upper finial is adorned with a .70 carat orange sapphire "flame" and the lower frame holds a .55 carat emerald and detachable golden South Sea pearl drop. On the reverse side, a stippled sterling silver plaque is decorated with swirls reminiscent of Sanskrit writing. Pairs beautifully with our matching "Kerala" mala-style tasseled necklace (shown), or a long gold chain. Experience the talismanic energy of our "Candi Shrine" designs, available in a variety of colored gemstones, all hand-carved by masters, and blessed with holy water from a sacred spring.
