"Ramses" Ring (Emerald, 22k Gold)

Part of our exclusive Magnum Opus Collection, the Ramses ring is our most beloved design, inspired by Pharaoh King Ramses ll's treasures at the Cairo Museum. An 8.3 carat Brazilian emerald glows like the water in a green grotto, set in 22K finely granulated matte yellow gold. The Egyptian motif of two Nile geese twins, joined at the neck, symbolizes fidelity and eternal life—a nod to Ramses ll's famed twin arm cuffs. US size 7.25, this ring can be sized up or down two sizes and special ordered in various cabochon gemstones. We also do an "antiqued"/darkened version which highlights the incredibly minute granulation detail to dramatic effect, and looks especially good with opal as the centerpiece. Emerald has a long history of gem lore--in Egypt and the Mayan culture, they were used in rituals of protection and prosperity; it is the birthstone for May/Taurus.
